APG’s TRUE ECHO® CR-S radar is an 80GHz radar level sensor designed for reliable level measurement in liquids and bulk solids.

In this video, we’ll walk through factors to consider during setup and a few functions on the TRUE ECHO app.

Setup Considerations: CR-S Installation

When installing the sensor, position the radar so it has a clear path to the material surface. Avoid obstructions, build-up, and locations where the radar beam could intersect with internal structures. Once the sensor is mounted and powered, you can configure it using the TRUE ECHO app or the digital keypad on the top of the sensor. For detailed installation and setup instructions, follow the steps in the CR-S User Manual located on our website. You can find the link in the description below.

Troubleshooting: CR-S Setup

If the keypad display appears to be off, first check the power supply to ensure the radar is powered on. You can also carefully remove the keypad and check the conditions of the contact pins and pads. Make sure to properly reinstall the keypad or replace it if it appears damaged.

In a case where you don’t see your radar device on the scanning screen, make sure the radar is wired correctly and powered on. Press refresh to scan for devices. Location must be enabled on your mobile device.

App Functions: TRUE ECHO App

Once the radar is successfully connected, the message “Reading all Settings…” will be seen while the radar parameters are loaded into the TRUE ECHO app. The range, level, distance, current or RS-485 address, and reliability information are displayed at the top of the screen. Press details to see your setting values. For additional troubleshooting or setup information, refer to the CR-S User Manual or give our team a call.

With your CR-S properly configured and installed, it’s ready to provide continuous, non-contact level measurement you can count on for years to come.
