OUR VALUES

WHAT WE STAND FOR

OVER 40 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

From farm fields to industry leaders.

The story of Automation Products Group (APG) begins with a visionary engineer from Utah State University, Cordell Lundahl. In the 1970s, Cordell developed an innovative ultrasonic sensor and control system to help farmers guide machinery along the uncut edges of fields. This breakthrough not only solved a practical problem but also sparked a tradition of sensor innovation that would span industries and decades.

For more than 30 years, this technology was developed and manufactured under APG’s parent company, steadily expanding beyond agriculture into industrial measurement. The product lines grew to include level sensors, pressure transducers, switches, and data management tools—solutions that found valuable applications across a wide range of industries.

In 2006, Automation Products Group (APG) was officially established as its own company and brand, carrying forward the legacy of innovation built over decades. Today, APG continues to lead with customer-focused solutions and a commitment to continuous improvement. From its early agricultural roots to its role as a trusted name in industrial measurement, APG has remained dedicated to delivering the tools businesses need to succeed.
