The journey of Automation Products Group (APG) began with a visionary engineer from Utah State University, Cordell Lundahl. Armed with his expertise, Cordell set out to solve a common challenge for farmers: guiding machinery along the uncut edges of fields. His solution was an innovative ultrasonic sensor and control system, marking the start of a company that would go on to make a lasting impact.
Over the next 40 years, APG evolved from its agricultural roots into a leading provider of industrial measurement solutions. The company expanded its product line to include a wide array of level sensors, pressure transducers, switches, and data management tools. These solutions, originally designed for farmers, quickly found applications across numerous industries, helping professionals improve control over their processes and inventories.

At APG, we’re proud to say that—with few exceptions—all of our products are assembled and manufactured right here in our Logan, Utah facility. From level sensors and switches to pressure transducers and data management tools, every solution we offer is the result of expert design and craftsmanship by our in-house engineers and technicians.
