The TLS series Dual Point Cable Suspended Float Switch is designed to provide high and low-level control with built-in hysteresis, preventing wear on pumps from frequent on/off cycles. The switch offers a customizable switching differential from 11″ to 157″ and adjustable cable weight to suit various high and low-level settings. With its versatile polypropylene or ABS resin housing, PVC jacketed cable, and up to 65.6 feet of cable length, the TLS can operate in more locations than other low-cost float switches.

What is the TLS Series Dual Point Cable Suspended Float Switch used for?

The TLS series is designed for high and low-level liquid control in tanks, sumps, and sewage systems. It helps prevent pump wear by reducing frequent on/off cycles and is ideal for applications requiring reliable pump protection.

Hysteresis prevents rapid cycling of pumps by ensuring the switch only activates once liquid levels have moved significantly, reducing wear and extending the life of your pump.

The switching differential is the range between high and low-level activation points. The TLS series offers customizable differentials from 11″ to 157″, allowing flexibility for different applications and preventing short cycling.

The TLS series comes with a PVC jacketed cable up to 65.6 feet in length. The cable weight is adjustable, allowing users to fine-tune the float switch’s response to specific high and low-level setpoints.

The float switch is available in Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) contacts:

  • NO (Normally Open): Used for high alarms or pump activation when the liquid reaches a specific level.
  • NC (Normally Closed): Used for low alarms or pump deactivation when liquid drops below a certain level.
