VIDEO DESCRIPTION
In this video, Shaw Merrill of APG will be showing you how to program your LPU-2428 Ultrasonic Sensor using the submersible option in the LPU-2428 programming software.
VIDEO CONTENT
The submersible option is used when you are replacing a submersible sensor or pressure sensor such as the PT-500 Submersible Pressure Transducer with a LPU-2428 Ultrasonic Level Sensor.
00:20 To begin programming the LPU-2428:
- Click on the basic setup button on the left side of the screen.
- Select the units to be displayed on the right.
- Set the application to submersible.
- Click the send button near the bottom of the screen to send these settings to the sensor.
Wait until the progress bar completes before moving to the next step.
00:39 Now we are ready to setup the remaining parameters.
- Click the application setup button on the left menu and set submersible range to the maximum range of the submersible sensor.
- Set the depth distance to the distance from the sensor face to the furthest target being detected.
- Click the 4-20 Setup button on the left of the screen and verify the 4-20 set point values are set correctly. (The minimum mA set point, this is the 4 mA setting, is usually set to 0.)
- Press the send button to save these settings and wait for the progress bar to complete.
01:14 Your sensor is now setup and ready to go.
01:17 The remaining advanced features in the programming software will default to automatic settings. To change these settings, please refer to the LPU-2428 user manual programming section.
