How It Works

Level and Flow (formerly known as Tank Cloud) covers every user’s remote monitoring needs. Our Level and Flow client level sensors connect directly to the internet for tank applications. They use Modbus to connect up to 10 server sensors for tank farm applications. Level and Flow sensors can be programmed remotely. They can also be daisy chained together for fast and inexpensive wiring. Once they’re on the tanks, powered up, and connected, the rest can be done from the comfort of the office.

Level and Flow Features

Users can log in to APG’s secure servers at any time to see tank level data and give their tank managers critical information at exactly the right time. The website and the last 30 readings are always free. Alarm messaging and data logging are available in a subscription program.

Adding Level and Flow to tanks benefits the users in two ways:

1. Easy access to tank level data, all without going on site to check tank
2. Instantly know about expected and unexpected events. Receive an alert of tank empties and refills, including theft.

Remote Tank Level Alarms

Level and Flow’s remote tank level alarms notify users of their tank’s status, sending an automatic text message or email when tanks meet pre-defined level conditions.

Level and Flow sensors have two different alarm types:

1. Local alarms are initiated by sensor trip points and are completely user defined.
2. Remote alarms are configured at APG’s secure data portal at levelandflow.com. These alarms notify users when a tank is ready to be serviced, picked up, or refilled.

Tank Level Data Logging

Users can add data logging to Level and Flow sensors to access needed information. Our data logging service keeps data on a per sensor basis. Stay on top of issues by selecting which tanks need data logging the most. The data can also be exported into a spreadsheet format for easy reading.

Data logging assists with the following:

• Tells how and when resources are used
• Gives production and usage trends
• Provides a record of collections and deliveries
